Imagineers Newsletter -Summer 2013
Welcome to the Imagineers Board Newsletter
Welcome to the Summer 2013 edition of our quarterly board newsletter. We developed this newsletter to provide community board members with relevant information that would be helpful in the roles that they serve in their respective communities. It also affords us the opportunity to effectively communicate important issues. Each edition contains useful articles that have been archived and are still accessible on our website under Condominium tab under Imagineers board newsletter.
We continue to seek opportunities for professional development for staff members. On May 2nd we sent 19 staff members to a CAI-CT sponsored Managers' Council training session on "Risk Management and Insurance". The focus of the training session was on how a comprehensive risk management policy and the purchasing of comprehensive insurance are both vital to minimize the adverse consequences of accidental loss; maintain the continuity of the association as a business organization' and assist homeowner members in protecting their most important asset -their home.
We are preparing to offer another free Board Training Seminar to all our client board members later in the fall. The most recent seminar was conducted on February 26th and 27th and covered the topic "How to be the Best Board Ever". What Every Board Member Should Know About Serving on Their Community Board. The presentation provided insight on how to be an effective board and have productive meetings and improve the decision making process. We were pleased to be able to offer this to our client communities at no costs. We are pleased that we had one-hundred and fifty (151) board members attend both sessions, representing seventy-seven (77) separate communities and look forward to our next training event.
